Short-term interest rates are higher after the Fed raised rates Wednesday by a quarter point, to a range of 2.25 percent to 2.5 percent. It was a bad end to a bad week on Wall Street. The Dow plunged 666 points Friday, or 2.5 percent -- the biggest percentage drop in a year and a half. For the year, however, it is still ahead.
