Whole Life Policy as Investment Vehicle

9/19/23: Three years ago I was advised to start a whole life insurance policy as an investment vehicle, as a way to take out a tax-free loan against the policy upon retirement. I'm starting to doubt that this is really the right investment vehicle for me.
